Nine Inch Nails splurrge

With Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross snatching up Oscars recently I decided to have a peak at what Nine Inch Nails are up to these days. Reznor is truly not one to disappoint fans and so he regularly updates the NIN website with photos, pictures and general updates regarding his latest projects.

Relatively recently he's posted up some awesome videos from NIN's farewell tour; including a mind-blowing performance of the epic 'Just Like You Imagined' with special guest piano-extroadinaire Mike Garcon.

As you can imagine this only encouraged me to dig up some choice Nine Inch Nails live videos to wack up on the blog.

Click Read More to check 'em out.

We'll start with the highlight of the 'And All That Could Have Been' tour,' where the pace of the concert winds down to treat a sweaty and exhausted crowd to a soothing 'La Mer' and 'The Great Below' - both of which are accompanied by fantastic visuals courtesy of Bill Viola.

The Fragile - live at the MTV awards - (Introduced by a gaunt Johnny Depp)

Can't really find many videos of NIN's awesome cover of Joy Division's 'Dead Souls' so this video of it live at Reading festival will do. The song appears on The Crow soundtrack which is well worth a listen by the way. The album also includes 'Burn' by The Cure (tune!)

To end here are 3 rather different live performances of Hurt; a no frills one from Reading 2007, one where Reznor duets with the bloody King of cool himself - David Bowie, and one with Reznor singing a highly moving rendition behind a humungous backdrop of pertinent black and white movie clips - absolutely sublime.

I really hope I'm not alone when I say that Reznor's original version of 'Hurt' is still the best.
