A NEW HOME! Stumbled upon this flavors.me shindiggedy and thought I'd chuck everything in one place and start keeping it up to date again! I've got about 10 semi-finished reviews from back when the blog was churning along so I'll finish those at some point and get them up. But in the meantime the format is going to be loads of lil' tidbits and the occasional essay.
So here's a new a favourite:
Gorillaz' Empire Ants get's remixed by Miami Horror - sheesh, the best song from Plastic Beach being remixed by one of my favourite new bands!
The song was never really going to be made any better, but this is an awesomely chilled summery take on it. Crying shame that it's January really.

Miami Horror
Since hearing the awesome 'Don't Be On With Her' from Miami Horror's 2008 Bravado EP I've been keeping a watchful eye on the progress of their as yet untitled new album. Their latest offerings 'Sometimes' and 'Moon Theory' are very much in the same vein as Calvin Harris in that they're electronic, catchy and summery; but in my eyes Miami Horror have lost that initial 80's synthesized energy that drew me to them in the first place. The new singles are by no means bad songs and they're definitely worth a listen, but it is as though they sit too uncomfortably on the fence - not quite full blown dance tunes, not quite chilled out head-nodders.
